#ABPoli I deserve a hero cookie. Or at least a cookie. This last weekend I attended a once in a lifetime effect for with my family in south central Alberta. As it happened, we picked a good spot to setup and then shortly after another group setup beside us. My partner being friendly said you look familiar to one of group. They identified themselves as a well known member of the Alberta Legislature of the UCP Caucus. I'm no fan (by far) of the UCP, and specifically this one has been Minister of portfolios when the government has directly harmed either friends, family or myself in clearly articulated ways. In just about any other context, I would be hard pressed to not let them know how they'd harmed specifically the people they claim to be serving. But, we put on the happy faces. It would not have been fair or humane to confront them in front of their family and extended family. The family, especially the young, don't get to choose the politics and choices of their parent/grand parent. /1
