I am coming across more and more #ai generated or #vibecoded #linuxaudio software, and wanted to ask you what you think about this development.
Should there be a clear way to distinguish between software created by humans and software created using AI?
However, it's not always easy to tell whether something was created using AI, with AI assistance, or entirely by hand. 🤔

@linuxaudiodevelopment@mstdn.social I have a profound distrust of AI tools and especially so for what is called “vibe coding”. I feel developers should have an intimate understanding of their tools. I think it is possible for AI coding to assist in development, but I am suspicious that the bulk of new stuff has developers releasing “black boxes” that they may not understan, and as a result may not be able to tell when, or how it might be faulty (or successful).
