@RobynNuthall@mastodon.nz @ClareBear@mastodon.nz I think you can make a case for having an upper age limit for politicians. And I'd suggest that 80 is too high.
75 or maybe even 70?

@artnacrea@mastodon.ie @RobynNuthall@mastodon.nz @ClareBear@mastodon.nz Interestingly the new Hungarian government is proposing a constitutional amendment to limit MPs to three parliamentary terms, which is equivalent to 12 years. That, mostly anyway, sidesteps the age question but achieves much the same thing - stops politicians from having a life-long career of being a politician, which ends up serving no-one but themselves.
