@dcdeejay@mastodon.online It is completely understandable that Canadians feel frustration and think Americans ought to be doing more. What folks might not understand is that we are essentially in Nazi Germany with secret police, who are masked and violent. We are standing up to the abuse. State sanctioned violence is not something you are allowed to oppose. But we oppose anyway. The courage this takes is unfathomable. They shoot bullets into our car tires, they break our windows.

@dcdeejay@mastodon.online ...and now Trump has made "antifa" illegal. So people protesting and doing actions are getting prison sentences hundreds of years long. I want Canadians to know that Americans are fighting this on so many levels. None of this is OK. Very few Americans think it is. Did you see the man in the red shirt? He resisted arrest jumped back in, got teargassed, jumped back in. ICE wanted him. Community action saved him. When we fight we win. Solidarity forever.
