@dalias@hachyderm.io @Em0nM4stodon@infosec.exchange I have more faith in the legislation end of things when it comes to the powerdraw: https://mastodon.derg.nz/@anthropy/116993019699714068 construction-wise things are already in motion and I doubt that'll stop for the next few years. That isn't just AI though, the classic internet (that we're also using right now) still uses more datacenter capacity than AI AFAIK
