Before somebody says it: Yes, a sufficiently experienced engineer, with sufficient domain expertise, can probably suss out some/most of these pain points even *without* touching the code by hand. You might just have that gut feeling that “cost” and “price” aren’t the same concept in a finance application. But that’s a lot of hope to put in your gut, and likely robs juniors from ever building that sixth sense to begin with.
