#SaveYouAClick: They sleep better, and btw, this kind of story makes the rounds every so often. Nothing new here other than if you are rich, you individual bedroom is nicer. > Married Couple Stop Sleeping in Same Bed—Then They Notice a Change https://www.newsweek.com/married-couple-stop-sleeping-in-same-bedthen-they-notice-a-change-12247822 #marriage #relationships #sleep

@bloodravenlib@mas.to Honestly, from a very young age I feared marriage because of having to share a bed. Not even sex, because I was too young to know about that, but sharing a bed. My mother used to tell the story of how once when I was a toddler, my dad was away, there was a terrible thunderstorm and she assumed that because being alone in bed with that noise outside made her anxious, I would feel the same, so she came into my room to cuddle. And after about 15 minutes or so, I told her "I think you should go back to your own bed now!" I realize in many places people do indeed have to share because of poverty, and that I am fortunate that even though we didn't always have adequate food or utilities things didn't get to that point for us. But it really is a miserable thing to have to do and very odd that culture tries to mandate as a necessity for a specific relationship.
