Spent some time working on my arcade machine over the weekend and during that time, I came to realize just how much information about various emulator frontends and such have been lost. Attract Mode's forums are gone and a few other places just... don't exist anymore. All that's left is Google's AI overview getting every last detail wrong, which is... just extra infuriating. (I use attract mode because of the NESiCAXLive theme that is on there is the only one that is remotely close enough to the real thing.) Anyways, I wired up a few extra buttons for Test/Service mode next to my coin buttons on my upper panel though I probably at some point should wire up my ACTUAL Test and Service buttons inside my machine. I'm planning on rewiring everything in the near future to be much more clean. The inside of my control panel is a complete rats nest, so redoing the wiring for proper wire lengths and doing some cable management is next. I also just moved my frontend and all preview videos and such to an NVME drive to avoid some slowness when the hard drive has spun down. #arcade #retrogaming
