@IngaLovinde@embracing.space @mcc@mastodon.social I believe the CDDB data was mostly track length and numbers, right? Like, that data would be somewhat unique per album. I think Gracenote ended up owning that data, but also supplemented it with data derived from the music itself to let tracks be identified through fragments played or recorded in various services. It all ended up under one roof.
