I used the Claude Agent SDK when building claude-commit to check it out, and it's very cool indeed. It uses your Claude subscription instead of API pricing, and doesn't shell out to Claude Code. This lets us do things like require JSON structured output, without just prompting for it and hoping for the best. Try it out in dry run mode a few times, and if you're happy with the commit messages, let it save you some time :) https://github.com/synmux/claude-commit
