"A Long Chat About Learning The Art of Photography" https://youtu.be/x480fxJoFlw Several weeks back I asked for thoughts on what people wished they understood a little earlier in their photography journey. Some of that proved very useful. Some of it was in a different direction to my brain at the time. Here's the final outcome of that! I was working on a video idea, and now that video exists. It's a long chat, so maybe better to watch on the weekend with a cup of tea. It's not my usual short+sharp stuff. Hopefully not tooooooo boring for some folks to enjoy! @ewen@social.ewenbell.com Bookmarked for later! I dusted off my old Nikon D50 from storage and had my wife take a few shots. She got excited and we ordered a used D5300 that we're now waiting for, to see if the old hobby would take flight again. :) I took a lot of photos back in the day but never spent a moment thinking about theory or other photographers' learnings. I think now would be the time to look at that part.

A quick thanks to everyone who shared their thoughts on the challenges facing people when they first start out on a path to learn about photography.
