Not exactly CarryShitOlympics, but I had fun positioning e.g. my fake-crocs on the back of my bike while on our trip this summer. Having the mug hanging off the side of the pannier meant it was hitting the plastic parts and sounded like a cow bell every time I hit uneven terrain. #BikeTooter

Feels strange to see LLM powered projects pop up even in niche languages. You're searching for a library and you see one with an amazing stylized landing page and docs, which used to be reserved for actual big projects. Now you can't tell if it's a popular one or something the author one-shot and will then throw away except maybe from the download count. Of course, being FLOSS, it's their prerogative. I'm not a paying customer. But it feels strange. Even unreleased packages...

I'd like to love PWA's as they're very convenient and don't require me to install new apps that spy on me in different ways... but a new Vivaldi update has just vanished them and I think this is probably the third time this has happened on my phone. :/

It's warm out here. Not my best work but it did the job. Was able to use it for maybe 20 minutes for fanning in cooler air in between people smoking on their balconies. :| #CarryShitOlympics

Finally after a couple of summers where I haven't had the time or motivation, today I broke 100 km cycled in one day on a regular bike, final total was 112.60 km. The route was Kehä III from start to finish, plus getting there and back from home. Not the best scenery, but I always had the option to bail out easily. Option not taken! Didn't take a photo of the bike but here's some sights from along the way. #BikeTooter

I need to write a blog post about this I guess, but due to the prevalence of supply chain attacks nowadays, I've slowly moved all of my personal projects to devcontainers. Meaning the source is replicated from the host and I use git on the host, but any installing/compiling is done in a Docker container on a non-root user. It has worked mostly transparently through VSCode and adds a layer between me and a possible attacker. I think it's spiffy. Example: https://git.ahlcode.fi/nicd/zones...
