TIL that back in 2005 the tourist boards of the various cities that have AVE stations got together with the national tourist board and created an initiative called “Ciudades AVE” which, amongst other things, has published the website https://spainbytrain.org So if you want to find out where you can go and what you can see using Spanish high speed trains, that’s a starting point.
