I feel like most beings aren't evil. Most beings aren't good either. They mind their own happiness without paying much attention to the rest of the world

@Hothrin@transfem.social I would go a step further. People are what they were taught to be. "Teaching" here doesn't have to be an action taken intentionally or even actively. It can be anything from your friends pushing you toward certain behaviors, to someone actively telling you what and how to do it. It is the systems around you pushing you to do certain things to survive. If you grew up in a conservative household, you'll have conservative beliefs. No matter how progressive you are, those beliefs will stay until you actively confront them. Most people keep themselves in an illusion that will make sure they never have to question the things they have learned. After all, Questioning everything you know is a hard thing to do and can genuinely painful.
