And I’ll admit I was maybe more excited about the fine print—hosted by Richard Blade—than the supporting acts.
He was a KROQ DJ when I was a kid and hugely influential in shaping my taste and knowledge of music. I kept satellite radio waaaaaaay longer than I would’ve just because he still DJ’d on First Wave haha.

At something recently, one of my cousin’s cousins—hadn’t seen her in 20 years probably—looked me up and down as she walked toward me and said: ‘WE GOT OLD!’ It’s funny arriving at a venue for an ‘80s band because that’s EXACTLY how I feel looking around at all my fellow Gen Xers haha.
