@jwz@mastodon.social Well shit… I don’t watch trailers, so haven’t seen this, but was hoping for the same quality as The Peripheral.
Neuromancer has been optioned for so long I guess I can at least be happy Gibson is finally getting a payday.

@grwster@mastodon.social I don't recall the specifics of this case but I think the way options work is: you sell the rights to make a movie and it expires after N years of you don't actually make it. Then you can sell it again. So I think Gibson already got paid multiple times for nothing happening. Which is perhaps the ideal outcome.
