the SmolSlimes tempt me so. i could make twenty of those with some goofy huge batteries (.. for those things, anyways) and swap those out to charge once every few days
BUT.. their shortrange 2.4 GHz protocol would not be amenable to house-wandering. hmm

i did like the ostensible flexibility of having perma-wired forever-powered trackers but needing like ten minutes minimum to untangle and wiggle into the whole thing is turbo obnoxious
