@vlrny@disabled.social I lived without a/c. I caught hundreds of grasshoppers and leaf-hoppers in my grandmothers grass, one at a time (and let them go again, of course). I never knew a place than flooded. I never knew a place that burned. I never knew a place that had a drought. Southern Ontario seemed somehow insulated from all of those extremes. When a tornado went through near Barrie, it was a big enough deal that they wrote books about it.

@ZenHeathen@beige.party @vlrny@disabled.social its a big place, I grew up closer to lake Huron at the end of tornado alley, so I witnessed a lot of tornado warnings and watches, and occasionally a tornado.
