Someone asked in an activism group I was in: “What’s the best way to remove metadata from photos?” And one answer was: “Take a screenshot.” And you know what, it’s hard to argue with that. You lose resolution and quality each time you do it. But everyone knows how to take a screenshot and crop it, and it really does remove metadata. It *has* to be simpler for people to be sure that their shared photo has no metadata they don’t intend to share. Like, “simpler than a screenshot” simple. #technology #privacy
