Last Thursday we drove to Lievestuore, which is about 2 and a half hours drive from home. The Nokkakivi amusement park resides there and I've made a note about the "100 arcade machines" they've been advertising for as long as they have existed. I know the amusement park itself is more of a collection of old carnival-style rides, mostly for younger kids but the arcade got me curious. So we went there with the hopes of playing some pinball and maybe other arcade games and make a cool video of a proper, old days' arcade. I came back with this video. It's everything I shot of that place. I stepped in, was like "oooh, pins" and took a quick sweep before I went to play. After I was done and realized this was it, I was so damn disappointed I just wanted to walk. The "100 arcade games" apparently included non-functional ornaments over the walls. There were really maybe 20+ games total, most of them vids or claw machines. They had 7 pins, out of which 2 were on and all those 2 needed was a mercy shot at this point. #arcade #pinball #finland

Some hilights: Mousin' around was playable, but had like oversized slingshot rubbers. It was also in a very weirdly low angle, probably to compensate for the completely shot flipper mechs. Bugs Bunny had no mini playfield flipper at all. Ripley's Believe it Or Not was missing the other lower flippers. I don't know if I crashed the party mid-repairs, but the it was a sad thing to see. I would've loved me some Ripley's at least from that lineup. #arcade #pinball

  • @apzpins@some.apz.fi I wish I could take you to Can Can Wonderland here https://www.cancanwonderland.com/games This is not even all of the pins, let alone the arcade machines All in playable condition (although at least one game is out every time I’ve been there, at least it’s a different one every time)
