@johnofrobotz@mastodon.girolab.foo at this point, I think you probably didn't read the article. there's no abandoning moderation on nostr. I have 500 character in this fedi app that only does microblogging. But yes, it scares me to see the grassroots organize here. Fedi was built when the web was mostly friendly. It doesn't stand a chance in the (sadly) extremely adversierial fully automated web. It doesn't even have a trust establishment mechanism, and encryption is still on a far off horizon.

@johnofrobotz@mastodon.girolab.foo fedi infrastructure is too expensive to scale beyond westerner who're tech savy, rich or well connected. In it's current form it is vowed to turn into fodder for corporate AI training. This is not my wish. It is the sad reality. Fediverse is awesome purely because of it's people. I reaöly hope they'll see what I see without having tp learn the hard way.
