August, next week already(!), is Women In Translation Month. Books written by women which are translated into English. It's a lot of fun, because it opens a window into very different worlds. Not only getting the woman's pov, to help balance against the traditionally male pov skew in literature, but getting a peek into what life is like in another country, with different traditions, different food...
