Okay, so most of y'all know my opinion of consumer VPNs. For those that don't, they are snake oil. They don't offer any significant privacy gains over just letting your ISP see your flow data. They used to be good for two things: 1) sailing the high seas 2) bypassing GeoIP content restrictions Of course that second one barely works anymore, as the content providers have started blocking VPN provider networks. But apparently NordVPN offers a "static IP" service. WTaF?! Consumer VPNs don't anonymize your traffic much at all, but a static IP _really_ makes you identifiable. Is it just for inbound? Tell me it is just for inbound traffic. That _almost_ makes sense as a useful service.
