The latest Russian attacks on Ukrainian city of Kherson have destroyed the Kherson Chess Club. The only FIDE Presidential candidate to issue a statement so far is German, Jan Heinrich Buettner (the others are Russian toadys). "Chess teaches us that even the fiercest of contests are governed by rules and respect. War reminds us of the terrible consequences when those principles are abandoned." #Chess #War #Russia #Ukraine
