But I already have too many projects, and I'm hooked on Strava's social aspect and other features others don't have. You can port absolutely everything to open platforms, but there are two huge obstacles: 1. The numerous iPhone apps I use don't easily support alternative open-source platforms, whereas Strava integration is available everywhere, so using alt platforms here makes my life more difficult, not easier. 2. My friends won't move to another platform, so I'll be running alone.
