In my hometown, there's this huge raven in the city center. He sits and watches. I find him comforting. He's a celebrity by now, and newspapers write about him. I saw him again today. I didn't want to disturb him, so I didn't take any photos. What a character.

Sometimes Mastodon loses link preview card images and never refetches them, especially for older links. I haven't had time to figure out the root cause, so I created a quick cron script to fetch the missing images. Why do people like vertical tabs? They make no sense to me. They take up so much screen space. Why not just keep as few tabs open as possible? I usually have only two or three tabs open, but then again, I'm an inbox zero person too.

:skull360: We have successfully upgraded our Mastodon server to v4.7.0-alpha.1+mementomods-2026-07-26, running Mastodon Bird UI 4.0.0 nightly branch (new alpha for Mastodon v4.7.0-alpha coming soon). This daily build stays on the v4.7.0-alpha.1 nightly line, so this is a within-cycle daily build rather than a version jump, we've just brought it fully up to date with upstream, as our bi-weekly upgrades go. Selvittelin hieman lisää yhdistysasioita. Ulkopuolisia ei-jäsenten rahalahjoituksia ei voida kerätä jatkossakaan. Eli kaikki mementomori.socialin palvelinkulut pyritään tulevaisuudessa kattamaan jäsenmaksuilla/jäsenyyksillä. Syitä tähän on muutama: 1. "Vuonna 2026 uuden rahankeräyslupahakemusten käsittelystä Poliisihallituksessa peritään 530 euron suuruinen maksu ja muutoslupahakemuksen käsittelystä 173 euron maksu.
