@sidalsolgun@infosec.exchange it is, and it isn't. In the cities, things are perfectly reasonable. Nobody gives a shit about others' unusualness. Small towns are hard to gauge. Most of them have a mixture of intolerant rednecks and a fierce pride community. If you're cruising through, I don't *think* it's a problem. If you're doing drag storytime at the library, you'll definitely get harassed.
