Decided to close the thumb on the second mitten. A big advantage of nalbinding is that if it gets in the way, I can just cut it off without concern for the rest of the fabric.

The latch hook is an amazing tool. I need to grind the blunt edge into a smooth point, but it's really useful even without that.
