Emily Wilson, who produced an excellent iambic pentameter translation of the #Odyssey, has harsh words about Nolan's version's lack of depth (and also its lack of nudity). https://www.lrb.co.uk/the-paper/v48/n14/emily-wilson/an-uncomplicated-man

Yesterday at the Hoorn Weversmarkt I bought a big skein of undyed Polderdraad yarn, made from Texelaar-Swifter sheep's wool. It's super chonky and has an amazing aroma that reminds me of being aboard old ships. I'm hopeful these fingerless gloves will be very warm and robust for my next voyage!

I adore book scans that include ephemera like library due date cards. Makes me wonder what happened in 1996 to make this otherwise unloved book so popular.

It's really handy to be able to print small things, like a tool post holder that aligns the dial indicator with the center line of the spindle for quickly measuring runout.
