In a flashlight forum I frequent, someone asked what #flashlights they should buy for their family members' #survival #preparedness #bugoutbags.
My response was to ask why their family members weren't already carrying #EDC flashlights and backup batteries for them.
What kind of knife? Why aren't you already carrying an EDC knife? And what do you think you are going to actually need to cut?
Don't even bother thinking about bugging out before you think about bugging *in* and everyday carry.

@gcvsa@mstdn.plus I have a no-name flashlight and a Gerber micro tool in my day bag. I change the flashlight batteries every year. I don't think my survival scenario involves stabbing anything.
