This is a very bizarre story with a surprisingly large fine. South Yorkshire Police are very reluctant to prosecute and driver for endangering the life of a cyclist. Close pass a cyclist? Pulling out into the road without looking? Driving or even swerving into a cycle lane? You will be unlucky to even get a warning letter.
