@shadownetworks@infosec.exchange I did this for a while in the mid 2000s. At the time, WiFi was slow and coverage was tough. So I mainly ran cat5 in rich people's homes. Every now and then I would get a customer that wanted full automation, but the Ethernet jobs paid the bills. The automation technology was so basic back then. Mainly x10.
