I'm reading a book about #perimenopause right now, and the author included the statistic that American women have the highest risk of #suicide between the ages of 45 and 55.

@APBBlue@thepit.social I was in very rough shape mentally in April. I'm grateful I had a support system in place. I had no idea that there's the possibility of a mental health component to perimenopause.

Also: 70% of women going through the #menopause transition report some sort of mental health issue, whether it's #anxiety, #depression or #irritability. 😬
