@sleepybisexual@mk.absturztau.be There is no RNG for character unlocks in Smash Ultimate. There are three bespoke tracks to take: 1) Beat Classic Mode with different characters. Each character unlocks a different pre-determined character at the end; for example, clearing Mario's path unlocks Sonic. 2) Play a crapload of versus battles. IIRC it's every 10 matches you get a new character, which comes from a different pre-determined list. 3) Full-clear World of Light. Characters you unlock for WoL also unlock for the rest of the game.
