Healthcare data collection in Ireland is consistently transphobic and needs to stop asking for shit that is irrelevant for the procedure being done

For example, their favourite: “sex assigned at birth” This tells them exactly nothing about me. It doesn’t tell them my hormone profile. It doesn’t tell them the shape of my genitalia or whether I have a uterus or cervix. It doesn’t tell them whether I am at increased risk of breast or prostate cancer. It doesn’t tell them about my heart disease and/or stroke risk. It doesn’t even tell them what my chromosome configuration is. It’s useless information. They know the risks they are screening for, they should ask about those risks specifically.
