The fourth and final of the series by #RoriThornton that had me genuinely smiling at the end. The world Rori created is so full of warmth and acceptance and love. The dichotomy of the countries of Rabahn and Vauge highlights how restrictive patriarchy and even monotheism can be. Rori doesn't shy away from truly dark, toxic relationship dynamics, but instead makes them seem smaller and overcome-able when surrounded by this supportive extended family.

It is very fun to get to read the words of a friend when they are an author of a book. @writerchristina@cupoftea.social Yes, I teared up near the end. Yes, I had to keep reading to find out what happens next. Yes, the main character's mile-a-minute anxious worrying is a little too familiar. It helps to know which actor she based the male lead on, because then I can picture his face and mannerisms. 🤭 I just wish we had a little bit of HIS narrative, especially when they first meet at the airport. 😊
