Thus ends this rant, as an artist who used to work in tech, and pays most of this servers expenses, even though I now bring in an artist's wages...which is essentially nothing.
Our server expenses are almost $500/month. I can't be expected to keep paying the gap.
OK, now, I end my rant.

One more thing...sorry...but when I got my Cancer diagnosis, I started working on making vis.social sustainable without me. We have not yet accomplished that. I've been continually building a team of amazing volunteer moderators. They are amazing. The part I haven't been as good at? It's that I haven't been as pushy about community members helping to cover community expenses. I would sleep a lot easier if our finances didn't rely on me covering the gap.
