Honestly if this is how people in FOSS are going to act, that the correct response to problems is bullying and harassment, I hope the movement fails in the long-term, because people deserve better than this shit. If you acted the way people do in FOSS In any other hobby, you'd be kicked the fuck out. Amateur radio, act like this? Everyone will know you're a lid. No one will engage with you. You won't be welcome into clubs. Keep it up and you'll lose your license. Keep going further and you'll get your equipment seized. No one complains about censorship in ham radio except chuds either; you have to REALLY fuck up for things to get this bad. This is just the social expectation: you don't act like a dick, and if you do, you suffer the consequences.

I'm tired of the cultural norm in FOSS being "let's bully other people to get what we want". It is so fucking bad that even now people still say "we should handle AI through sustained harassment and bullying" and coming up with justifications. There is no justification for harassment, period. Even Nazis, you throw them the fuck out and call it a fucking day, you don't make a huge fucking production out of it, because that's how you get brigaded by Nazis. But terminally online poster brain is everywhere of course.
