The level of white-hot incandescent rage I now feel whenever anything AI related pops up on my screen (especially at the OS level) is nearly indescribable. I can't recall literally ANY new technology that has been so widely hated and yet so universally thrust upon the public. Can you?

@deviantollam@defcon.social I doubt we can get permission, but a giant funeral pyre for the copilot logo in the parking lot at DEFCON might make us all feel better. Kind of like Burning Man, but much more cathartic.

@deviantollam@defcon.social I switched to IoT LTSC just to avoid this crap getting auto-forced into the system. The complete lack of opt-in is the most infuriating thing. It's my computer not Microsoft's.

@deviantollam@defcon.social too many important people (read billionaires) have too much money tied up in AI being used by everyone as a mass surveillance machine to figure out how to extract as much wealth as possible from everyone so they can add it to their hoard in their underground bunkers where the have private water sources. Lizzard people are real, turns out they were actually dragons.
