In our first Mystery Year, Bill Cotton, the controller of BBC1, warned television could become "rubbish" if people get to receive 32 stations. Never mind the quality, imagine the choice! 32 channels on your TV set!! They could even have one that showed old editions of #TOTP!!!
New in cinemas: "The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas", the soundtrack features Dolly Parton singing a plaintive song "I will always love you".

"The clapping song" - The Belle Stars Seven young women, seven different takes on gender roles. The song itself is another 50s throwback, and hence quite dull, but the performance is far more interesting than the material. #TOTP #BelleStars
