Anyone else concerned or notice that the global timeline seems to be more and more non-human (ie: rss feed-type stuff)? I think it has it's place, but I see human generated content, being social, etc., going down, and way more of "the rest of the internet being dragged in". Somebody fired up an instance yesterday, added 1 account that posted nearly 1,000 times in it's first 24 hours. Do people really think anyone is wanting this? That admins want to manage this amount of unexpected goop in their databases? I mean, OK, it's fine to experiment and play around, but this admin tied in at least one relay when they fired up the instance, too. They had no interest in saying 'Hello, Fedi', no human account with anything, just immediate bot flood to as many systems as they could. I guess that was the cherry on top of the number of automated accounts that I've seen in the global timeline lately, and, so few are following the polite rule of not setting their posts to be fully public.
