Rather than bringing peaking (natural gas) plants online to fill a deficit, overbuild until the production troughs meet baseline, and bring variable loads online to use surpluses. + battery storage + ammonia synthesis (from article) + metals electrorefining + algae oils bioreactors + planet coolers, radiating heat through atmospheric window to deep space + n-butanol synthesis to replace vehicle fuel + etc. etc.
