Harry Nilsson: A Little Touch of Schmilsson in the Night (RCA Victor AYL1-3761, 1981)
Another one of my parents’ albums and along with Stardust, my introduction to the standards. This is a budget reissue of the 1973 classic. Arrangements by the great Gordon Jenkins. Nilsson’s voice is absolutely angelic.

N.W.A.: Panic Zone (Ruthless MRC-1034, 1987) Had to get NWA’s first 12” just to have the radio edits of “Dopeman” and “8-Ball.” Pretty much entirely unique lyrics with overzealous self-censorship (e.g., replacing “gonorrhea” with “diseases”).
