Many companies offer “flexible work” but still expect real-time responsiveness across all working hours. Employees become burned out from constant availability.   • @amydiehl@mstdn.social I am a medium-level victim of this new line. It seems that now, since we're supposed to be immediately available to anyone at any time during the workday, people no longer examine their need for someone else's attention. They're no longer formulating an agenda in their mind. When they talk to someone, it's too easy for them to ring you the second something comes to mind without fully fleshing out all of the ideas first.
