Oh they're just evolving their "AI-assistant" into an "open social research" tool that rummages through your data to help people perform "Quests". At some level, whatever, it's all public and there are already plenty of "AI" tools rummaging through the data there. Still, it'll be very interesting to see if they honor the opt-out flags about "AI" usage. And Some good framing by @Sarahp@mastodon.social "While many Bluesky users tend to dislike AI for economic, political, and environmental reasons, the company has had to balance its community’s leanings with the need to generate revenue to help itself and the AT Protocol development it leads remain afloat." Yeah really. While many Bluesky users (including me) don't want this, the company has to make a buck so this is where they're putting their efforts.
