@plzupgrademe@fedi.txw.ca in short (at least where I am): using statistical methods to solve real-world problems, and using theory and mathematics to *develop* statistical methods.

@nxskok@cupoftea.social thank you for the helpful answer and thank you for making the world a better place solving problems 😊 I haven't learned much of statistics, but it looks almost magical to me sometimes how phenomena can be explained or predicted with statistical methods.
