Israel has throttled mobile data across Gaza so that the network operates using a 2G system, with a max download to 50kbps. Most countries have already phased out 2G. This means that even when someone can afford to charge their mobile phones, trying to send photos or videos of what is happening on the ground, the images may not upload.

When Gazans try to post here or on other socials to show their reality and raise funds, the posts don’t always go through.
