Yesterday I got a classic #SonicTheHedgehog chip tune stuck in my head. I knew it was from either the first or second game. My kids were also familiar with it but we could not remember which stage it was from. We qued up the sound tracks on YouTube and made our way through each of the stages songs and came up empty handed. We were baffled. We all knew the song and knew that it was from either Sonic 1 or Sonic 2 but none of the stages played it. Long story short, It turns out that it was Emerald Hill Zone from Sonic 2 but in two player mode. All of these years I don't know that it ever registered in my brain that Sonic 2 actually has a separate soundtrack for the two player stages!?!? That is really cool and a bit wild that it never registered with me on a conscious level. #Sega #videogames #Retrogaming
