For example. At one of the places I worked, the office wrapped around this garden. It was easy to see if there was someone outside smoking or having a break, so our breaks tended to organically fall together. This was never designed or expected, but these breaks that combined people from different teams and seniorities were one of the biggest sources “good ideas”or information sharing. I wonder how this has manifested in other places.
