@anthropy@mastodon.derg.nz there’s also just the fear of something happening to me. I’ve got family photos and stuff that I’d like family to be able to access. And for it to be as simple as inserting the hard drive into a computer.

@soulfire@mastodon.jarexibackblaze.xyz that's fair, I have it enabled and it hasn't caused me any issues, and the family access argument is totally understandable. I do think it's important to note that they might not understand how to get access when you're not around regardless though.. That's one reason why I went with stronger security I guess. I'd rather just let them know the password somehow
